I don't think those gbb slings were about to molt. I've got one that just molted. She was very dark, swollen abdomen with a bald spot.

How did the avicularia purpurea turn out? It's on my wants list but I know avics have been known to die more during the sling stage than other species.

Little tip. If you trust your "touch" with the tweezers you can pick them up by the tail. It's the easiest way. It's very hard to steer a scorpion

I'm only 3:30 into this video & I can already see a mistake. When rehousing remove all decor (plants, cork bark). It gets it out of your way & makes moving the tarantula easier. If they have no place to hide they generally move easier because they will be looking for a place
I made the mistake of gluing the decor in so I wasnt able to take it out right away when I made the enclosures I made a rookie mistake but still went well

Another little tip. To avoid sounding like a total douche nozzle there are a couple of words you should avoid using. Spooder or spood.
